Championship. He led from start to finish (apart from a couple of
laps during pit stops). Rubens Barrichello finishes second and helps Ferrari clinch the Constructors' Championship. David Coulthard finishes 3rd after getting ahead of Barrichello after the first stop but losing it at the second stop. 5 of the top 6 starters finished in the top 6. 12 cars crossed the finish line. Ferrari, McLaren, Sauber and Williams managed to finish both their cars. Minardi, Benetton and Prost failed to finish either of their cars. |

Hakkinen wins for the second time in a row in Hungary after having
a brilliant start from 3rd taking the lead and going on to win the
race. Michael Schumacher finishes 2nd despite dominating in qualifying as he struggled with the balance of his car. David Coulthard fails to overtake Michael Schumacher during the third part of the race and finishes just 0.5 seconds behind. Rubens Barrichello manages to overtake Ralf Schumacher for 4th via the pits. 16 cars crossed the finish line. McLaren, Ferrari, Williams, Jordan, BAR and Arrows managed to finish both their cars. Prost failed to finish either of their cars. |
