Second Saturday Practice Session Report - ResultsRalf Schumacher sets the fastest
time of the session ahead of his team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya. Michael
Schumacher in third was 0.749 seconds behind his younger brother in 3rd
place. It seems that the Williams are starting to show their real
potential at this kind of track!. Eddie Irvine continues his impressive form in 7th ahead of Olivier Panis in the BAR. David Coulthard is back in 9th place as he spun early in the session and was stuck in the gravel. Jarno Trulli makes the top 10. One second covers the top 4 while 2 seconds cover the top 12. No major incidents during the session but David Coulthard spun out of the session after only completing 3 laps while Giancarlo Fisichella stopped on the track on his first lap!. Jean Alesi and Luciano Burti covered the most number of laps this session with 15 laps each while Fisichella only managed a single lap, Coulthard only did 3, Irvine did 4 and Zonta just 5 laps. All other driver covered between 7 and 14 laps. Overall Burti, Marques and Panis covered the most number of laps during the 2 practice sessions with 27 laps each. Fisichella covered the least with just 5 while both Zonta and Button only managed 10 laps each. Qualifying could be interesting but looking at the times set by the 2 Williams it looks like a fight between those 2! Ralf's time of 1:39.188 is the fastest lap time set on this track in it's current configuration.
