number of readers have sent in their reviews and comments about the race
and we have decided to publish some. Yaman from India writes: The German GP : Ralf Schumacher drove a flawless race capitalising on the misfortune of Juan Pablo Montoya to win his third GP of the season ahead of Rubens Barrichello and Jacques Villeneuve. The two Benetton's made it to the points in 4th and 5th with Jean Alesi picking up another point for Prost. Montoya had grabbed his first pole of his career in a Williams dominated qualifying session. Mika Hakkinen fresh from victory was third beating his team-mate and even Michael Schumacher. The race was an eventful one from the start
when Michael crawling with an obvious problem was hit from behind by
Luciano Burti in a horrifying accident. Burti was lucky to get away unhurt
from the accident but the race had to be restarted because of the debris
on the track. Michael got another chance and so did Burti! On the restart
all cars made it through safely until the first chicane when Pedro de la
Rosa hit Nick Heidfeld from behind causing both the German and the
Spaniard to retire immediately. Who would've thought of that happening.
Ralf was in complete control with virtually an empty track to play with
much to the delight of the German fans who had been clamouring with
support for the German drivers. Barrichello's love for Hockenheim must
have been increasing as he drove towards a second place finish. The Hungarian GP is three weeks away and it just might be the place were Michael win the drivers title or McLaren bounce back?? It will be a decider for sure! |
