Montoya wins the race after starting from 3rd ahead of Kimi
Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher. Ralf Schumacher only managed 4th
despite starting from Pole while Alonso managed 5th after starting
from 8th. Trulli, Coulthard and Barrichello made the top 8. The top 8 in qualifying finished in the top 8 with a number of positions changed. 13 cars finished the race. BAR's Jenson Button was withdrawn from the race due to a high speed crash in practice. Williams, McLaren, Ferrari, Renault, Toyota and Jordan managed to finish both of their cars. Minardi and Jaguar failed to finish either of their cars while BAR failed to finish the only car they raced with. |

Coulthard takes the lead from Juan Pablo Montoya at the start and
goes on to win the race. Michael Schumacher comes second following the retirement of Juan Pablo Montoya while Ralf Schumacher comes a distant third. Rubens Barrichello attempts an ambitious move on Raikkonen resulting in Raikkonen retiring and him receiving a penalty. 5 drivers crashed into barriers during the race. 12 cars finished the race with only 3 of them on the same lap. Ferrari, Arrows and Jaguar finished both of their cars. BAR and Toyota failed to finish either of their cars. |
