Rubens Barrichello set the fastest time
of the session ahead of his team-mate Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard.
Jarno Trulli, Nick Heidfeld and Jenson Button make the top 6.
Juan Pablo Montoya, Pedro de la Rosa, Ralf Schumacher and Heinz Harald
Frentzen make the top 10.
There were no major incidents during the
session although a number of drivers had minor spins and a number of car
stalled in the pit lane trying to practice a start.
Giancarlo Fisichella covered the most number of
laps with 15 followed by Michael Schumacher with 14 and Takuma Sato with 13.
Olivier Panis covered the least number of laps with 5 while Kimi Raikkonen
only managed 6. All other drivers covered between 7 and 12 laps.
A number of interesting lap times seems to
indicate that several drivers will be doing 2 stops while others may be on one
during the race. Both Renaults, Nick Heidfeld and de la Rosa look like they
will be stopping twice given their fast times relative to their qualifying
performance yesterday.
