Coulthard wins his second race of the season.
Michael Schumacher finishes second after the Ferrari team orders
Rubens Barrichello to let him through.
Juan Pablo Montoya while leading refuses to let Michael Schumacher
pass him and both go off the track, they recover but lose several
positions.
Several cars struggle at the start with launch control problems
with Hakkinen, Trulli, Heidfeld and Frentzen all having problems.
11 cars finish the race with only 5 of them on the same lap.

Hakkinen wins his second race convincingly from David Coulthard
and Rubens Barrichello.
Michael Schumacher starting from Pole retired on the first lap
after being bumped from behind by Ricardo Zonta and forcing him
into a spin.
Pedro Diniz touches Giancarlo Fisichella on the first lap forcing
him into retirement.
Jean Alesi and Nick Heidfeld who were both driving for Prost take
each other out!
13 cars finish the race with only 3 of them on the same lap.
McLaren, Sauber, Jaguar and Minardi finished both of their cars.
Arrows, Jordan and Prost fail to finish either of their cars
McLaren had 10 points taken off because of a broken seal on the
car's electronic box. Hakkinen kept his points. |
