45 min: Final lap but improvements aren't expected due to the yellow flags as a result of Bernoldi's spin.

44 min: Villeneuve improves and takes 10th just behind his team-mate. Bernoldi spins and is stuck in the gravel.

43 min: Webber takes 21st back from Yoong. He is still over half a second away from Irvine's best time who in in 20th.

42 min: Heinz Harald Frentzen takes 5th with a time of 1:09.426.

42 min: Juan Pablo Montoya moves into 4th with a time of 1:09.288. That is 0.855 off the pace.

41 min: Alex Yoong takes 21st from Webber. This weekend Yoong is the closest he has been to Webber.

40 min: Enrique Bernoldi moves into 13th. His team-mate Frentzen is 9th.

39 min: Coulthard goes off but recovers.

37 min: 8 minutes to go and the teams are now preparing for their drivers to go out for the last time before Qualifying.

36 min: Rubens Barrichello doesn't improve.

35 min: Allan McNish moves ahead of his team-mate and takes 10th with a time of 1:09.972. Barrichello on a flyer!

34 min: Alex Yoong improves in 22nd and is now inside the 107% mark.

33 min: The midfield remains very tight. Just over a second separates Massa in 4th and Bernoldi in 17th.

32 min: Felipe Massa takes 4th with a time of 1:09.526. It will be a very close fight between the 2 Sauber team-mate this afternoon.

31 min: He moves into 4th with 1:09.557. Mika Salo moves into 9th with a time of 1:10.004.

30 min: Montoya on a flyer!

29 min: Mark Webber spins but recovers. The Minardi's are too slow this weekend. Over a second and a half from their nearest rivals Jaguar.

28 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, R Schumacher, Heidfeld, Montoya, Raikkonen, Panis, Frentzen, Coulthard and Villeneuve.

27 min: Coulthard moves into 8th with a time of 1:10.044 while Button improves in 10th ahead of his team-mate. 

26 min: Alex Yoong improves but not enough to get his inside the 107% mark. 

24 min: The Bridgestone still seem to have an advantage at this stage. 6 Cars in the top 10 are Bridgestone runners.

23 min: But Panis responds back and moves into 6th with a time of 1:09.780. 

22 min: Jacques Villeneuve moves into 7th ahead of his team-mate.

20 min: Mark Webber improves in 21st with a time of 1:12.996. Just inside the 107% from Michael's time. Yoong in 22nd is over 0.7 seconds slower than the 107% time.

19 min: Ralf Schumacher takes 3rd from his team-mate with a 1:09.216. Frentzen moves into 6th with a time of 1:09.996.

18 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Montoya, Raikkonen, Panis, Trulli, Villeneuve, Button, Heidfeld and Massa.

17 min: Michael Schumacher improves again. He must be enjoying himself. His newest time is a 1:08.433. Pole time will be in the 1:07's !!

17 min: A Michelin runner finally responds to the Bridgestone assault with Montoya taking 3rd with a time of 1:09.963.

16 min: Michael Schumacher improves marginally with a 1:08.856.

15 min: Jacques Villeneuve who has been struggling in the last 3 sessions moves into 4th with a time of 1:10.393 just behind his team-mate!

14 min: Olivier Panis improves in 3rd place but is over 1.3 seconds off the pace.

12 min: Takuma Sato has a big spin but recovers.

11 min: Montoya improves his time in 13th place. He is over 2 seconds off the pace!

10 min: Nick Heidfeld takes 5th from Frentzen. We now have just 3 Michelin runners in the top 10.

10 min: With the stunning time set by Michael, neither Mark Webber nor Alex Yoong would qualify if their times remain in the high 1:13's

9 min: Barrichello improves too in second with a time of 1:09.146. Villeneuve moves into 9th with a time of 1:10.825.

8 min: Michael Schumacher improves in 1st with a time of 1:08.864.

7 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Panis, Raikkonen, Frentzen, Massa, Coulthard, Heidfeld, Button and Bernoldi.

6 min: Olivier Panis jumps into 3rd place with a 1:10.562. Villeneuve jumps to 11th.

5 min: The 2 Ferraris are on the track,

3 min: More drivers go out on the track including Raikkonen and Panis.
