Championship First Saturday Practice Session Report - ResultsDavid Coulthard managed to set a stunning time towards the end of the session and move to the top of the timesheets ahead of Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher. He was the only driver to set a time under the 1:37 mark. His time is already over half a second faster than pole time of last year. Mika Hakkinen, Ralf Schumacher and Nick Heidfeld make the top 6 with Frentzen, Montoya, Panis and Irvine making the top 10 but their times are very close. Less than half a second separates Nick Heidfeld in 6th and Jarno Trulli in 12th. Juan Pablo Montoya who didn't set a fast time yesterday managed to set a time that is under half a second from his team-mate Ralf Schumacher. Jarno Trulli who set the fastest time yesterday only managed 12th this session. There were mo major incidents during the session although several drivers went across the gravel but managed to return back to the track. Jos Verstappen and Giancarlo Fisichella both covered the most number of laps with 16 ahead of Nick Heidfeld with 14. Jean Alesi and Kimi Raikkonen only managed 5 laps each while Jarno Trulli only managed 6. Most other drivers covered between 9 and 13 laps. The second practice will probably see faster times still as the teams prepare for the qualifying session later on today.
