Championship Warm-up Session Report - ResultsRalf Schumacher set the fastest time of the session ahead of Rubens Barrichello and Juan Pablo Montoya. Michael Schumacher was 4th ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Olivier Panis. It is very unusual to see a non Ferrari car heading up the
timesheets in the Warm-up session. In fact, not since Monaco has anyone -
other than a Ferrari driver - been able to top the timesheets of the warm-up. Kimi Raikkonen who was dropped to 6th on the grid as a
result of his collision with Sato was 5th fastest ahead of Olivier Panis who
is surprisingly up there this morning and so is Felipe Massa who is in 7th but
both could be planning 2 stops and hence their faster times compared to their
times earlier this weekend. No major incidents occurred during the 30-minutes session although a number of drivers had visits to the gravel trap but managed to get out. A number of drivers were very late in setting lap times including Jenson Button and Jacques Villeneuve but it was Pedro de la Rosa who didn't manage to set a competitive lap time this morning. Ralf Schumacher covered the most number of laps with 16 while Jenson Button only managed 5 laps and Pedro de la Rosa just completed 6 laps. With Williams appearing strong this session, it looks like we'll have an exciting race this afternoon between Williams and Ferrari ... at long last ?? Race starts at 2:00 PM local time. Our coverage starts at 1:30 PM local time.
