result of tyre problems. Nick Heidfeld starting from Pole managed to finish second after running a three stop strategy. Rubens Barrichello finished 3rd ahead of David Coulthard and Michael Schumacher. Giancarlo Fisichella, Juan Pablo Montoya and Jarno Trulli make the top 8. There were lots of drama at the start of the race with Mark Webber retiring on the first lap. 18 cars were classified. All teams managed to finish both their cars except Toyota and Williams. Raikkonen was classified 11th |

Jarno Trulli finishes 4th ahead of his team-mate Fernando Alonso while Giancarlo Fisichella finishes 6th ahead of Mark Webber and Juan Pablo Montoya. Takuma Sato running third retires with an engine failure. The 2 McLaren's retire with engine failure. Juan Pablo Montoya takes his team-mate Ralf Schumacher out at the start of the race and is forced to pit for a new front wing. 15 cars were classified as finishers. Ferrari, Renault, Sauber, Jaguar, Jordan and Minardi managed to finish both their cars while McLaren failed to finish either of their cars. |
