Ed: He went off and hit the barriers, his car sustained damage to the front wing and nose. Mercedes later confirmed that the crash was due to brake pressure issue with the rears.

A futher update from Mercedes states that the problem on Hamilton's car was the hydraulic brake line connected to the right-rear caliper. They also stated that the left front suspension was also damaged. They didn't provide an estimate when Hamilton will return to the track
