I thought Ferrari would win today, I thought wrong. Four in a row for Montoya. He is quick, and today he was lucky. Schumacher came within a whisker but failed in sector two on his last lap. That is not to take anything away from the new premier pilot. To get one pole is a great achievement, to get four on the trot against the Ferrari's is fantastic. Cooky asked for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for Ralf. Conservatism is dead, Ralf may have the points but perseverance is not enough and Ralf only perseveres. One third of a second is a long time in F1 and that was as close as Ralf could manage. Of the others, Schumacher (the good one) was not disgraced being only 100th behind a motivated Barrichello, Coulthard couldn't match the flying Finn and Trulli and Sato excelled. Button was unlucky to have an engine fail on his first run, as was Fisichella. The British GP 'Also Ran' Award. de la Rosa just managed to qualify but he spent almost the entire session having a water leak repaired. Yoong failed to qualify and doesn't deserve a seat in the stands tomorrow, let alone a pit pass. While Ralf would have been a worthy recipient, yet again, and Fisichella is running backwards very quickly, being 0.3 behind Sato, Alex showed that he is (fortunately) in a league of his own. Alex, be thankful you now have another Also Ran, they are the only F1 accolades you will ever earn. The British GP Qualifying Heroes 1. Mark Webber, 2. Eddie Irvine, 3.
