Can Jarno Trulli recover ? |

Trulli was always considered a future star and up until this year when he
moved to Renault from Jordan he has managed to rattle his more experienced
team-mates - Heinz Harald Frentzen and Olivier Panis. This year however he is
the one being rattled by his less experienced team-mate Jenson Button. On the other hand, Trulli has just moved to Renault whereas Button was there last year. This would give Button an advantage but it surely isn't a good enough reason, just look at what Raikkonen is doing to Coulthard at McLaren! So what is going on with Trulli ? Does he have the potential to be a future champion or will he go down as an also ran ? - Have Your Say (What others are saying)
Jim & Jeff you are on it guys but, HHF and JT are very decent drivers but they are not greats. Poor old Jos the boss, who had a decent go, isn't driving this year, and I rate him above these two. Yes I know man, I have bit, but wasn't that the idea - Cooky - Australia Trulli and Button are both very good!! I had a look at
Yarno's telemetry in Spain 2002 and he seems totally inconsistent! No doubt he
is struggling with getting used to the new car and unlike Button he is new to
the Team and the Engineers but it's a very close fight between him and Button!
Jenson has been amazing at times this year especially when trying to defend
his position! (Malaysia with Montoya and Spain with Massa)!! I can't believe Geoff & Cooky are the only two who have "bit" on this provocative question. Of course J.T. isn't an "also ran"; what matters in the end is finishing. I know, I know: qualifying is some kind of "pure" test of one's driving ability. Yes. But there's driving and there's racing. And right now, although Jenson is winning in the "Renault stakes," there are at least four reasons neither he nor J.T. are more "also rans" than champion: two of them are bright red and the other two are blue and white - Jim W - USA Cooky, I almost agree with you about Panis, but Frentzen? He
has to be one of the best, if not THE best wet-weather pilots in the game, and
can be pretty quick in the dry too. I have never thought of Trulli as a future champion even when he rattled his old team mates he was still just rattling nobody's - Cooky - Australia Join 6 'n' Pole and see how your predictions stack up against the others. Register NOW! Loading
