Watching Juan Pablo Montoya is exciting,, he's definitely doing a great job, race drivers are supposed to race,, duh!! Overtaking is what makes racing exciting,, and that's what JPM does, regardless of who's up-front.. I went to Indy,, and seriously,, JPM was the one that gave a good show. Ferrari's cars are extremely reliable, so yes, Ferrari is the best team -  Op. - USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
Michael Schumacher is a fantastic driver I must say. This 2001 season is the best I've seen him performing as a Formula 1 driver. He's so quick in anyway especially picking up during every start of a race -  Jiet HL - Malaysia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
Results are obvious - Michael Schumacher is the best driver in the world!!! Next season will be his next title. I don't think there is a single driver in the world right now who can compare to him -  Julia - USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Michael Schumacher was clearly the best driver in 2001. This was vindicated by winning the Drivers Championship. I chose Williams as the Best team due to the vast improvement and giant steps they took in 2001. Juan Pablo has that "Senna" driving style in him, and has demonstrated that he can mix it with the best. He's the tonic that F1 needed -  Waudi T - Australia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - E Bernoldi)
Ferrari deserves it...They have the fastest car and the most reliable team -  Raszlda - Malaysia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
The best driver award goes to MS. He already won the championship with 4 races more to go. And the Ferrari is a very reliable car. There will be a Ferrari crossing the finishing line in every race either MS or RB. I think KR is a very good rookie. He has collected 9 points this year. I think JPM is a crashing king -  Nicky - Malaysia

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
JP Montoya the best Driver around the world!!!! -  Paolo - USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
JPM's closure of the season was spectacular (3 poles, 1 victory, 1 second place), but he also had very bad moments (Monaco and France). Who can forget the overtaking scenes against MS (3 I think). When was the last time you see someone doing that to Michael? Also, don't forget that as a rookie JPM had to start the car tuning from scratch for each race. Let's what happens next year, Ferrari machine will be perfect - LC - USA

(BD - M Hakkinen; BT - McLaren; BR - K Raikkonen)
Sad to see the best driver (HAKKINEN) retire. McLaren Rules!! KIMI will rule 2002 in a McLaren!! - Melvin J - USA

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Juan Juan Juan Montoya!!! -  Chris - England

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Montoya The best driver-... number one around the world!!!! Montoya=number one and Schumacher= the best loserīs drivers -  Viviana - Colombia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
Montoya isn't a rookie, he has said himself so -  Rita V - Finland

(BD - N Heidfeld; BT - Ferrari; BR - F Alonso)
What can I say - I believe Nick will become a World Champion in F1 one day! Hope as soon as possible... :) -  Tania - Russia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
The best driver Michael of course. A small doubt if JPM is the "best" rookie -  GopaKumar - India

(BD - M Hakkinen; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
The Hakk's the best! - Yaman

(BD - M Hakkinen; BT - McLaren; BR - JP Montoya)
M. Hakkinen was and will be the best driver ever!!! I just hope he will back again to teach M. Schumacher to drive - Csongor B - Yugoslavia

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Montoya number 1!!!!! - Reith K - Switzerland

(BD - M Hakkinen; BT - McLaren; BR - K Raikkonen)
Yes, Ferrari and Michael dominated this year but that doesn't mean West McLaren Mercedes won't fight back. Although, Mika is going to take a sabbatical, but me and The Flying Finn fans believe that he will make a comeback - Melvin - Malaysia

(BD - R Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
I think that Ralf should be also included as one of the best driver as you all can see that he has been putting on a very good show for most of the races an have won three grand prix and he stands fourth in the drivers standing - Shawn C - Singapore

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Montoya has shown the world what is he made off....watch out for him in 2002....let's hope Williams F1 can produce a reliable car - Juan D C - USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
I think the results speak for themselves... Chris C - Germany

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
este es el mejor corredor que existe en la actualidad y sera el campeon 2002 - Carlos - Colombia

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Juan Pablo rules!! - Alex P - USA

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Williams; BR - JP Montoya)
Only one... THE BEST!!! - Camilo - Colombia

(BD - JP Montoya; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
Juan Pablo Montoya the best Driver around the world!!!! Step by Step following the Senna's perfection!! Perfection = is Passion!!! J P Montoya = Perfection. Formula 1 without J P Montoya doesn't exist the Passion!!! - Julian - Colombia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
Both MS and Ferrari were clinical in execution, almost to the point of boredom and nobody could touch them. Rookie? I don't know. My vote goes to JPM although I agree that he is a rookie only in the context of F1. And Kimi is really only still a youngster albeit one with a good deal of talent - Johan M - South Africa

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
I like Kimi, not because he is Finn, but he showed real skill for a kid with no experience. Not sure a move to McLaren was in his best interest though. Especially with Sauber improving as much as they did! - John L - Finland

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
Of course Ferrari is on the top, they have won both titles but the big surprise is the best of the rest Sauber. They don't have a former world champion or they never were contenders for first place. But beating Benetton Jaguar BAR or Jordan it is a hell of a job. Hopefully Peter will continue this tradition next year too. Rookie of the year.... Hmmmm. Kimi seems entitled to this position better than Mantoya. He kept his mouth shut and he drove, learnt and beat other very experienced drivers with a less costly package and less incidents or accidents than Juan-Pablo. Regardless my affiliation with Ferrari, this is my own point of view and I think is pretty objective. Thanks and my best regards, Marian - Romanian living in the USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
Best driver is debateable. I picked Schuey only because he did win the championship, best team undoubtedly Ferrari. and I agree 100% with Geoff, Montoya is no rookie. Raikkonen gets my vote, maybe he will really shine in the McLaren next year - Bryan L - Canada

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - J Montoya)
It was a very good F1 season with M Schumacher clearly in a class unto himself. M Schumacher definitely deserves a "well done" for what he has done for Ferrari and for making the team so competitive. Williams/BMW is going to be extremely competitive next year. Juan Pablo and Ralf make a great team and the BMW-powered Williams appears to be a super car. I think that next year the greatest challenges will be between M Schumacher and Juan Pablo - it's going to be a lot of fun! Look for Michael to show why he is the best - Leslie C - USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
Driver and Team votes were very easy. Despite Montoya's lack of an F1 drive, he really doesn't rate as a rookie. Raikkonen impressed because he has so little experience. A few years and he will be one of the greats - Geoff H- Australia

(BD - J Montoya; BT - Ferrari; BR - J Montoya)
Montoya easily he will be world champion in a year or two - David S- Australia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - K Raikkonen)
Pity these particular categories are so obvious !! - Ian M- Australia

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
MS and Ferrari were easily the best combination this year. Watch out next year though because if the BMW engine lasts Juan Pablo Montoya could well become the new World F1 Champ. His driving style is so exciting. Can't wait till next year! - Craig G- New Zealand

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
Raikkonen likely will be a better, more effective driver in the long run, but this year the best rookie had to be Montoya - Tom W - USA

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
There is no question about best driver and team. About best rookie, I see more potential in Montoya rather than Kimi - Renzo C - Peru

(BD - M Schumacher; BT - Ferrari; BR - JP Montoya)
I should say that in my opinion Montoya is the best driver but the champion is still Schumacher - Popa P - Romania
