Kneejerk reaction time: I agree mostly with your comments re Michael
Schumacher, however, it's a bit harsh to berate him for spinning out in
Brazil. The conditions there were quite unprecedented - mostly dry on part of
the track, running water on the fastest corner of the track, and a lack of
suitable tyres to cope with the torrential conditions. It is fair enough to
forgive anyone for losing it in those circumstances. The Heretic replies: Adrian, I agree that Brazil was a crapshoot, maybe I was a bit harsh but I do have a gut feeling that Michael is coming off the boil and I hate seeing drivers forced out because they have lost whatever it is. Remember Hill? I also do not have anything against the shootout aspects of qualifying. At least they are no longer hampered by traffic. My concern is that this is not done with the same fuel load. Some of the slower teams need every bit of limelight they can get to keep their sponsorships going and although it may work for them it can seriously screw up race strategy for a leading team being caught behind a slower car even for a few laps.
