Yes Ferrari did stop twice, but so did everyone else. Ferrari do sometimes go to the harder spec Bridgestones but only when they are having trouble in race trim, so they go conservative, eg Malaysia this year, Imola last year. It never seems to work though.
I don't think Bridgestone are going to suddenly make crappy tyres, so Ferrari will march on untroubled. Even at tracks where the Michelins have an advantage, Ferrari is still the mechanical grip superteam. Maybe same scenario at fast tracks the Williams will win some races, but these wins will be hard fought, they will not be handed to them. 
Ferrari's advantage is not just a car speed thing. They are genuinely a superteam, most of Michael's pit crew came from Benetton, with a super driver, a super tactician in Todt, a super Engine team driven by Martinelli, and there's Byrne, Stepney, a massive budget, it just goes on. They certainly are marching on untroubled. Except for Barrichello who probably also broke both shoelaces when he got dressed that morning.

There is no denying that the Schumacher/Ferrari combination is seriously dominant at present.

There is little evidence that tyres are making the difference at present so there are not many opportunities left for Williams, let alone McLaren.

Not being lapped by Ferrari will already be an achievement
