Mar.12 (GMM) Formula one is not always as glamorous as it seemed at the Albert Park circuit and around the sunny Australian city of Melbourne on Wednesday, Nico Rosberg insists.
As pitlane buzzed with activity, and trendy sunglass-wearing millionaire drivers either strolled the paddock with seemingly nothing to do or 'worked' alongside pretty girls at local beaches for PR events, observers taking in the last few days before the 2008 season opener would have been forgiven for envying members of the grand prix circus. But to the German newspaper FAZ, Williams racer said there is a downside to the constant trekking from the world's exotic locations and five-star hotels."It is easy to forget that a life like this is also incredibly hard. You are constantly on the go, never at home, always awaiting the next appointment. You never have time for yourself," the German said."Formula one is not always rosy," he added. But even 22-year-old Rosberg, one of F1's hottest young properties, admits that life could be worse."It is also a cool job," he grinned, also suggesting that it would be easy to get carried away with the glamour lifestyle."I am very cautious and understood that reality quite often has little to do with this world," Rosberg added.
