Mar.12 (GMM) Forget gear ratios, horse power or tyre compounds, the first thing on David Coulthard's mind when he touched down in Melbourne this week was his diminishing supply of underpants.
The veteran Scot told a news conference in the Australian city that his first stop-off after the 20-hour flight from Europe was to buy 40 pairs of smalls that can only be found Down Under."I've got a bit of Australia wrapped around my nether regions when I do all my grands prix," said the 36-year-old Red Bull driver, revealing that he always wears 'Holeproof Underdaks' when he's at speed on the 18 circuits on the calendar.Coulthard added: "I always go and stock up at the beginning of every season and buy my underdaks for the season ahead."
