The Williams team have concluded their test at Estoril with only Antonio Pizzonia driving as Ralf Schumacher ended his
session early after crashing his car yesterday (the 16th). Antonio covered 30 laps with a best time of 1:18.508. Click here for the test times from Estoril 17-Feb: The Sauber team continued their test at Mugello with Nick Heidfeld and Felipe Massa driving. Felipe Massa set the fastest time of the day with a 1:24.984 while Nick Heidfeld ended his session early after spinning and damaging his car. He covered 52 laps with a best time of 1:25.119. Heidfeld's car was sent back to Hinwil for repairs.Only Felipe Massa will test for Sauber on the final day of their test. Weather conditions were very wet in the morning but dried later on. Click here for the test times from Mugello Toyota concluded their final test before the season opener at the Paul Ricard circuit. Mika Salo tested on the first day while Allan McNish took over on the next 2 days. The test was hampered by heavy rain on the first 2 days but was dry on the final day. Allan McNish indicated how much the weather affected their program and said "We had some really bad weather on Saturday, making it impossible to drive, but conditions improved today. We did some small tuning work in preparation for our first ever Grand Prix in Melbourne and we additionally worked on launch and traction control." 16-Feb: On the second day of testing for the Williams team at Estoril, Ralf
Schumacher escaped unhurt after he crashed in his Williams FW24. The team is investigating the cause of the incident as it was
not due to driver error. Before he crashed, Ralf completed 50 laps with a best time of 1:18.409. Williams test driver Antonio
Pizzonia continued his impressive form and went even faster than yesterday setting a new lap record on the track. He covered 71
laps with a best time of 1:18.212. Click here for the test times from Estoril 16-Feb: Michael Schumacher concluded Ferrari's test at Mugello today running the F2002. The Sauber team was also present today with Nick Heidfeld and Felipe Massa commencing their final test before the season opener in Melbourne.Michael Schumacher covered 50 laps with a best time of 1:22.551. He was over 2 seconds faster then Nick Heidfeld who covered 77 laps while Felipe Massa was third fastest and covered 68 laps. Massa spun twice during the session but didn't cause any damage to the car. Weather was sunny but windy while the track was damp initially from overnight rain but dried later in the morning. Ferrari now move to Imola starting a test on Monday while Sauber continue testing here tomorrow. Click here for the test times from Mugello 15-Feb: Following 6 days of intensive testing of the new Ferrari F2002, the Ferrari team have decided against using the new car for the season opener at Melbourne. Sporting Direct Jean Todt said "The new car has proved to be very quick right from the start, but we do not have sufficient time at our disposal to be entirely sure about its total reliability for the first round of the season. Therefore, we have decided to go to Melbourne with the F2001, which even in this winter's tests, has proved to be very competitive and reliable. We think it will be able to bring home valuable points for the championship. Next week, we will continue our on-track development of the F2002, as well as fine tuning the F2001 for the first race." Michael Schumacher continued testing the F2002 at Mugello today but was hampered by
heavy rain. He managed 12 laps and practiced a few starts. No times were available. Click here for the test times from Mugello 15-Feb: The Williams team have commenced a 3 day test at the Estoril circuit with Ralf Schumacher and test driver Antonio Pizzonia.Antonio Pizzonia set the fastest time of the day in the FW24 and broke the lap record set here in 2001 by Jean Alesi in the Prost. Pizzonia completed the most number of laps with 81 testing both the FW23 and the FW24. Ralf Schumacher shookdown a new FW24 and completed 54 laps. Testing continues tomorrow. On the final day of testing at Valencia, Kimi Raikkonen improved on Montoya's lap record set here last Sunday by 0.05

On the final day of testing at Barcelona, Renault driver Jenson Button continued to show the impressive of the new
Renault as he set the fastest time ahead of Heinz Harald Frentzen in the Arrows and Takuma Sato in the Jordan. Mark Webber in the new Minardi was once again impressive lapping faster than Giancarlo Fisichella in
the new Jordan and over 3 seconds faster than his team-mate Alex Yoong. Click here for the test times from Barcelona Kimi Raikkonen was under half a second off the best time set
at Valencia by Juan Pablo Montoya on the weekend by setting a 1:11.422. He was 0.454 seconds faster than McLaren test driver
Alexander Wurz while Pedro de la Rosa in the new Jaguar was 3rd fastest and 1.418 seconds off the pace. Eddie Irvine was 4th just

Jarno Trulli topped the timesheets for the second day at Barcelona ahead of Enrique Bernoldi and Giancarlo Fisichella. Jarno Trulli's time is only a few
tenths slower than the lap record set earlier this year by Alexander Wurz indicating significant progress made by the Renault team.
Equally significant is the pace demonstrated by Enrique Bernoldi in the new Arrows compared to the pace of Jaguar who are running

Valencia, McLaren and Jaguar commenced a 3 day test session with Alexander Wurz setting the fastest time of the day ahead of

program for the F2002. Michael - for the second time in 3 days - broke the lap record at the Fiorano track with a best time of
of 58:378. He covered 43 laps Click here for the test times from Fiorano At Mugello, Rubens Barrichello concluded his 2 days of testing at Mugello. Driving the F2001 and concentrating on tyre development, he covered 68 laps with a best time of 1:22.140 which is the fastest time set on the track this year and just 0.001 slower than the lap record set by Barrichello last year.
