Rubens Barrichello finishes ahead of Michael
Schumacher by 0.011 seconds. Was this planned? Final lap ... both Ferraris cross the finish line at the same time! Lap 72: Barrichello has closed right up to Michael but they are not racing. Lap 71: Montoya closes the gap but it won't be enough unless Coulthard has a problem. Lap 70: While Montoya is catching Coulthard there aren't enough laps left! Lap 69/73: Order - M Schumacher, Barrichello, Coulthard, Montoya, Trulli, Villeneuve, Fisichella, Button, Heidfeld and Irvine. Ralf Schumacher is 16th. Retirements: Raikkonen, Yoong, Webber, de la Rosa Lap 68: Montoya reduces the gap to 4.4 seconds. Lap 67: At the front, Michael leads Barrichello by 3.3 seconds. Lap 66: Montoya continues to push. Gap to Coulthard is 5 seconds! Lap 65: Montoya is now catching Coulthard, taking half a second per lap!. Unlikely to catch though. Lap 64: The Ferraris are picking up the pace as Coulthard drops the gap down to 14 seconds. Lap 63: Renault pit crew look relaxed and it is unlikely that he will stop again. He could be on a 2 stopper though. Lap 10: The Ferraris are slowly increasing the gap to Coulthard but they aren't as dominant as they have been all weekend. Lap 9: Irvine isn't having a good race. Teams are expected to adopt a single or two stop strategy. Those on a two stop will be running less wing to ensure they can overtake on the oval section.
