Button, Fisichella, Frentzen, Massa, Heidfeld, Panis, Salo, Bernoldi, Raikkonen, de la Rosa, McNish, Villeneuve, Sato, Webber, Yoong and Irvine make the rest of the field.

45 min: Jarno Trulli tops the time in the final minute of the session with a 1:17.429 and yes that is 0.001 faster than the pole time from last year. Qualifying will be a nail biter!

44 min: Ralf Schumacher takes 3rd from Barrichello with a 1:17.713.

43 min: Barrichello improves but remains in 3rd. Trulli on a flyer!

42 min: Coulthard goes fastest with a time of 1:17.506. Bernoldi moves into 9th!

41 min: Rubens Barrichello goes back out on the track. It doesn't appear as if Michael will be able to go back out as the mechanics are still working on his car. Coulthard on a flyer!

39 min: The teams are now preparing for the final run!

37 min: Top 10 - Montoya, Barrichello, M Schumacher, Button, Frentzen, R Schumacher, Coulthard, Salo, Trulli and Massa. 

35 min: Mika Salo moves into 8th with a time of 1:19.430. 

33 min: Montoya puts in a 1:17.665. Stunning! 

32 min: Montoya on a flyer! 

30 min: 15 minutes remaining in the session and the drivers will now start simulating qualifying with the lightest fuel loads possible!  

27 min: And Mark Webber crashes. This is the worst time to crash and there isn't much time to repair the car!  

27 min: Top 10 - Barrichello, M Schumacher, Button, Montoya, R Schumacher, Coulthard, Frentzen, Trulli, Massa and Fisichella. 

25 min: Montoya improves but remains in 4th with a 1:19.003. 

24 min: Eddie Irvine who is in 22nd spins and crashes into the barrier. Session over for him! 

23 min: Jenson Button moves into 3rd with a time of 1:18.693. 

21 min: Ralf Schumacher moves into 4th with a time of 1:19.175 

19 min: Alex Yoong improves his time and moves into 21st ahead of Eddie Irvine. Michael Schumacher makes it back to the pits! 

18 min: Kimi Raikkonen crashes again! 

17 min: Michael Schumacher slow on the track. He seems to be having technical problems but is trying to get back to the pits so as not to lose the remaining time in the session. 

15 min: Juan Pablo Montoya takes 3rd from Coulthard. Still in the 1:19's though 

14 min: Mika Salo moves into 9th with a time of 1:19.954. 

13 min: Heinz Harald Frentzen moves into 5th with a time of 1:19.586. 

12 min: And he takes 3rd with a 1:19.315. Still 0.9 seconds slower than the Ferraris!

11 min: David Coulthard on a flyer!

10 min: No improvements in the top 10 so far.

8 min: Alex Yoong improves his time but remains in 22nd and over 5.5 seconds off the pace. 

7 min: Takuma Sato is the first causality of the day. He crashes his car into the barriers. Session over for him. 

5 min: Top 10 remains - Barrichello, M Schumacher, Montoya, Trulli, Button, R Schumacher, Raikkonen, Coulthard, Frentzen and Fisichella.

4 min: Mark Webber moves into 18th ahead of the 2 Jaguars 

3 min: Villeneuve improves but remains in 16th. 

2 min: It is interesting that Michael Schumacher is doing a lot of laps in practice this weekend. He is usually the last to go out in practice sessions. Perhaps they are not so strong at this track but their time this morning was a second quicker than anyone else!

1 min: Jacques Villeneuve is the first out on the track followed by Michael Schumacher.
