GP - Warm-up
Session starts and the cars are getting ready to go out. 1 min: Nick Heidfeld out first 2 min: There is light rain and Enrique Bernoldi seems to have lost his front wing 3 min: Most cars back into the pits but Rubens Barrichello is still circulating. 4 min: Rubens Barrichello and Jos Verstappen out of the pits 5 min: Jenson Button out too - Hakkinen is getting ready to come out 8 min: Michael Schumacher, Nick Heidfeld and Eddie Irvine come on to the track 9 min: Jos Verstappen sets the first fast lap of the session again (1.48.057) 10 min: Jacques Villeneuve and Giancarlo Fisichella out on the track 11 min: Olivier Panis and Jean Alesi out 12 min: Fernando Alonso and Tarso Marques out too. 13 min: Jarno Trulli fastest at 1.30.160 14 min: David Coulthard out on track and Giancarlo Fisichella runs off onto the grass - no apparent damage but this would have slowed him down 15 min: Jos Verstappen appears fast. 16 min: Mika Hakkinen's turn to go skating on the grass 18 min: Hakkinen back in the pits - he still seemed fast, probably just a radiator cleanout and check for damage 19 min: Michael Schumacher in the pits 20 min: Kimi Raikkonen fastest (1.30.052) 22 min: Where is Coulthard? He is circulating but posting very pedestrian times. 23 min: Ralf Schumacher runs wide onto the grass. 24 min: David Coulthard puts in a fast lap to move up to third fastest for the session. 25 min: It does not look as if Michael Schumacher will come out again. He has had his run and seems satisfied with the car. 26 min: It looks as if all is not well with Barrichello's Ferrari - he is out of the car 27 min: Olivier Panis second fastest with 1.30.835 28 min: Mika Hakkinen fastest for this session (1.30.640) 29 min: David Coulthard out on the track again after having some work done in the pits. 30 min: Whatever they did, it worked Coulthard has just posted the fastest time of the session so far -1.30.178 31 min: And again - Coulthard did 1.30.099 Session ends with David Coulthard ahead of Mika Hakkinen and Jos Verstappen. Juan Pablo Montoya, Olivier Panis and Michael Schumacher make the top 6.
