44 min: Final lap 

43 min: Michael Schumacher retakes the top spot with a time of 1:13.837. That is 0.063 faster than Raikkonen. 

42 min: The Toyota's have improved into 19th and 20th. Not looking good here in Brazil at this stage for them.

41 min: It will interesting to see how much the Pole time will be this year. Last year it was Michael Schumacher with a 1:13.780. Raikkonen's time so far is only 0.12 seconds slower!

40 min: Takuma Sato spins but recovers.

39 min: Kimi Raikkonen goes fastest with a time of 1:13.900. Sensational!

38 min: Ralf Schumacher responds moving into 3rd with a time of 1:14.642.

37 min: Jacques Villeneuve moves up into 8th. So far this weekend it looks as if the BAR Honda has the upper hand over the Jordan Honda.

36 min: Juan Pablo Montoya moves up into 4th with a time of 1:14.857.

35 min: Ten minutes to go. Nick Heidfeld takes 7th from Trulli.

34 min: Michael Schumacher improves his time with a 1:14.074. Coulthard and Montoya are on the track.

33 min: Jarno Trulli improves moves up to 7th. Michael Schumacher on a fast lap.

32 min: Michael Schumacher has covered the least number of laps with 4. He needs to conserve his tyres just in case he has to revert to the F2001 as the two cars have different rims and he can only be allocated 7 sets in total for today and tomorrow.

31 min: Jarno Trulli moves into 9th ahead of the 2 Saubers.

30 min: Top 10: M Schumacher, Barrichello, Coulthard, Button, R Schumacher, Montoya, Villeneuve,  Panis, Massa and Heidfeld.

29 min: Jenson Button continues his impressive form in 4th at the moment while Trulli is back in 13th. 

28 min: Allan McNish who was 3rd fastest yesterday is currently in 21st place.

27 min: Jacques Villeneuve moves into 7th ahead of his team-mate.

26 min: Ralf Schumacher improves and moves ahead of Montoya taking 5th.

25 min: Ralf Schumacher moves into 6th behind his team-mate while Massa is in 13th and Raikkonen in 14th after their first timed laps.

24 min: Rubens Barrichello in the old Ferrari improves to within 0.052 seconds of his team-mate in the new car!

23 min: Both Massa and Raikkonen are now on the track!

22 min: Ralf Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa have yet to set lap times.

21 min: Rubens Barrichello jumps into second with a time of 1:14.592.

20 min: Top 10: M Schumacher, Coulthard, Montoya, Button, Panis, Villeneuve, Trulli, de la Rosa, Irvine and Frentzen.

20 min: Michael Schumacher goes fastest with a time of 1:14.137. That is fast!

19 min: Coulthard improves to 1:14:673. Michael Schumacher on the track.

18 min: Coulthard tops the times with a 1:14.736. Pedro de la Rosa moves into 4th with a 1:16.447. Jarno Trulli starts his first flying lap after having a bad day yesterday.

17 min: David Coulthard on a flyer.

17 min: Irvine goes fastest momentarily as Montoya tops the times with a 1:15.190. Panis moves into second with a 1:15.733. BAR look strong here (compared to the previous 2 races!)

16 min: Pedro de la Rosa jumps to the top of the timesheets with a time of 1:16.590. Montoya flying!

15 min: Bernoldi spins but recovers. Montoya on track. Mika Salo jumps into second with a time of 1:17.162.

14 min: de la Rosa, Panis and Bernoldi go out on the track.

13 min: Webber goes fastest with a time of 1:17.071. He is faster than his best time yesterday!

13 min: But Fisichella takes it back with a 1:17.239. Webber fast!

12 min: Sato goes faster with a time of 1:17.317

11 min: Giancarlo Fisichella goes fastest with a time of 1:17.494.

10 min: Takuma Sato takes 1st with a time of 1:17.666. Mika Salo and Allan McNish are on the track too.

9 min: Alex Yoong sets the first time of the day with a time of 1:19.802.

9 min: Takuma Sato will have his best time from Qualifying taken out because he went onto the track ignoring the Red light at the exit.

8 min: Alex Yoong is the first to go out for his first timed lap and is followed by Takuma Sato and Giancarlo Fisichella.

6 min: All drivers have now gone out on their installation laps except for Eddie Irvine.

5 min: No timed laps yet.

4 min: David Coulthard is now on the track. He set the fastest time yesterday. Both Ferraris are on the track as well.

2 min: The cars first to go out are getting back into the pits. A number of cars have yet to go out including the Ferraris and McLarens.

Michael Schumacher set the fastest time in the morning session while David Coulthard was fastest in the afternoon session yesterday. Friday times are usually misleading and we should be able to get a clearer picture this morning as the teams start preparing for the Qualifying session. Session starts in 2 minutes
