A lot slower than Coulthard (+0.487) 24 min: Mika Hakkinen, Olivier Panis, Jos Verstappen and Eddie Irvine on track. 23 min: Coulthard sets a 1:16.073 and takes provisional pole. His time is quicker than his best in the morning. 23 min: Coulthard looks set to top the timesheets at this stage as Alonso on the track. 22 min: Luciano Burti sets a time of 1:18.113 and moves into 2nd. 21 min: Coulthard's best time this morning was a 1:16.237 20 min: David Coulthard and Luciano Burti on track. A bit early for a McLaren! 19 min: Almost a third of the session gone and only 2 drivers have set times! 17 min: Jacques Villeneuve sets a time of 1:17.211. 16 min: His best time from this morning was a 1:17.006. 15 min: Jacques Villeneuve is the second driver to go out on the track! 13 min: So far only Tarso Marques driving the European Minardi has set a time. 9 min: Tarso Marques sets a time of 1:20.722 which is slower than his best time in practice. 8 min: He appeared to have a problem on his out lap as he slowed down but then managed to get going. He starts his flying lap. 8 min: His best time during practice was a 1:20.208. Let's see if he betters that. 7 min: Tarso Marques is the first driver to go out on his first run. 5 min: Still no one out on the track. Session has started but no cars have come out. When there are no weather changes predicted, the cars usually come out 10 minutes into the session for their first run. Michael Schumacher didn't cover any laps during the second practice session this morning after his car suffered mechanical problems. We'll have to see if this will have an effect on his performance during qualifying. Session starting in 2 minutes. The temperatures have gone up since the morning and tomorrow's weather is expected to be even warmer so the tyre choice will be critical but it seems that the higher the temperature, the better the Michelin tyres perform giving the Williams team an advantage over Ferrari and McLaren. Session starting in 5 minutes. Behind the top 3 teams there will be another exciting fight between Jordan, BAR and Sauber as they are running close to each other just behind the leading 3 teams. Don't be surprised if one of these cars grabs a position inside the top 6 though. Session starting in 7 minutes. This could be one of the closest qualifying sessions we've had so far this season with Williams, Ferrari and McLaren fighting for pole. McLaren dominated on Friday while Michael Schumacher set the pace during the first practice session today and the 2 Williams topped the timesheets in the 2nd practice. Session starting in 10 minutes.
